Corrections
Celebrating South Africa's Rich Heritage and Cultural Legacy
At Africa Heritage Voice, we are committed to accuracy and transparency in all our reporting. We understand that errors can occasionally occur despite our rigorous editorial processes, and we have established a comprehensive corrections policy to address them promptly and professionally.
How to Report Errors
Readers who identify factual errors, inaccuracies, or misleading information in our articles are encouraged to report them immediately. Corrections can be submitted via email to [email protected] with the article title, publication date, specific error, and supporting evidence. Alternatively, readers may use the "Report an Error" link available at the bottom of each article on our website. We request that all corrections be submitted within 30 days of publication for timely review.
Review and Assessment Process
Upon receipt, all correction requests are logged and assigned to our corrections desk, which operates independently from the original reporting team. Our editors conduct a thorough review of the submitted information, cross-referencing original sources and conducting additional verification where necessary. We typically complete this assessment within 48 hours of submission. If the reported error is substantiated, we proceed with correction; if not, we provide a detailed explanation to the reader outlining our findings.
Correction Publication and Transparency
All corrections are published prominently at the end of the affected article with a clear timestamp indicating when the correction was made. We maintain a searchable corrections archive on our website, allowing readers to review all corrections made across our publication. Significant corrections are also noted in our weekly corrections summary, which is distributed to our readership. We believe this transparency demonstrates our commitment to accuracy and accountability.
